St. Petersburg is the capital of Russian Classical Ballet. The history of the Russian choreography dates back to 1850s. Significant contribution to the development of the Russian Ballet was made by foreign masters.
The art of dancing began from the small ballet troupe in 18th century. By the 2nd half of the 19th century Russian ballet based on the music of the Russian prominent composer Pyotr Tchaikovsky had already achieved world acknowledgement.

Russian Outdoor Picnic
